Monthly Anime Watch Party

Hey guys!

We are excited to introduce/test a new line of events - Anime Monthly Watch Parties!

These events will present a place to watch and discuss anime together with other members of the group (both virtually and in person), and are planned to be on a monthly basis.

This month's anime is going to be......Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

I haven't seen it, but Ary, Arnav, and others have said that it is the anime of the year so far!

Synopsis:

A reimagining of the folktale "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", the film follows high school student Iroha Sakayori and Kaguya, a girl from the Moon, as they compete in a streamer tournament within the virtual world of Tsukuyomi.

Little do they know that ominous forces lie in wait, eager to take Kaguya back to the moon.

This is the tale of Princess Kaguya as never seen before!

SCHEDULE FOR IN PERSON ATTENDEES:

2 pm to 3 pm - Meetup at Ary's Apartment Complex FIRST, and then walk over to Stanley to grab some food together

3 pm to 5 pm (Approximately) - Watching the anime

5 pm to 6 pm - Semi-moderated discussion between the virtual AND in person attendees!

For the in person folks, you are free to stay longer past 6 pm and hangout informally if you choose - the amazing Stanley Marketplace will be nearby in 1 minute walking distance if you want to hangout, explore or have dinner after the event.

NOTE 1: The capacity for in person attendees in the booked room itself is 25 PEOPLE!

NOTE 2: Booking the breakroom in Ary's apartment does cost us money and any pitching in to cover the room rental would be greatly appreciated, however it is NOT MANDATORY.

NOTE 3: Whether at the Stanley Marketplace hangout or the Watch Party itself, no alcohol shall be consumed by any attendees under 21 years old. THIS IS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
