DAS - Asian Pickleball and Potluck

Join Denver Asian Scene for a night of food, good company, and pickleball at The Picklr (Thornton)!! Beginners are welcome, and courts will be designated by skill level.

Location: The Picklr Thornton (9923 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229)
Date: August 12
Time: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Cost: $10 entry regardless of membership at The Picklr (this is a private event!) and helps us cover the cost of nice indoor courts and a party room for this event!

Please Venmo @Marvin-Dang-1 to officially secure your spot in advance. Zelle js also available at: 512-963-9987. Cash payment in-person is also acceptable at check-in. If you are paying for multiple people, please list all first and last name(s) in the description to make sure we have you on the paid list!

Potluck: Please list under the pinned comment below what you are planning to bring, and we'll add it to the Google Doc.

Agenda:

• 7:00 pm - Check in, mingle/eat, warm-up, rules overview for new players or straight to playing if you're familiar with the rules already
• 9:00 pm - Group photo, continue mingling/eating
• 10:00 pm - It's a wrap! (event officially ends) Unless a decent number of people want to continue playing, we may be able to secure additional court time for another hour.

FAQ

• Do I need to buy a paddle? The Picklr will have paddles you can borrow, for free!
• What if I don't know how to play? No problem! We will have a designated beginner court and someone (likely Tiffany) who'll teach you everything you need to know about how to play, score, and all things in between.
• Can I bring a friend? Definitely! Just make sure to list them on Meetup and in your Venmo payment, so we have proper headcount.
• Is this a tournament or competitive environment? NO. This is a friendly gathering to play a social sport. Please settle discrepancies with a respectful game of 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. Or connect with hosts (Marvin Dang, Lena Nguyen, or Tiffany Tran). We are happy to help :)
