Special ASG North General Meeting, Sat June 7th, 2:00-5:00

Hey everyone! Last year we had a great demonstration of painting on fabric and garments, so this meeting is a special class to actually do it ourselves! Artist, Lisa Pordon has offered to do a class JUST FOR US! Lisa teaches classes regularly at the Denver Art Society, a co-op of over 100 artisans located in the Santa Fe Art District in Denver.

WHAT TO BRING: a tote bag, a piece of fabric, or whatever you'd like to paint. Lisa will show us some botanical designs to do in acrylic paint. Inexpensive tote bags are available at Michael's for under $5. A heavier fabric will hold up better with the paints, and it can be any color.

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED: Lisa will provide all the paints and other necessary supplies, except for your project item.

COST: A special price of $25 for the class for us, paid to Lisa directly by cash, Venmo, or credit card.

CLASS TIME: 2:00-5:00 (I have a graduation to go to earlier, thus the later time). This class has 3 hours if we need it. Lisa offered some additional hand embroidery techniques if interested. Come early and browse the gallery and other great artisan places nearby. Everything is for sale. They stay open till 7:00 every day.

*** Please note: Lisa is self-employed and would appreciate a commitment from anyone wanting to participate. Let's respect that and make sure to cancel your reservation if necessary to Melanie by at least 2 days before.

Street parking on Santa Fe is usually available. There's paid parking directly across the street on the West side of Santa Fe. Street parking on Inca St. 1 block East, buses and light rail are also nearby. Santa Fe is one-way going North and Kalamath (1 block West) is one-way going South.
