Happy Pride! Let's celebrate by watching something major!
Happy Together is Wong Kar-Wai's 1997 masterpiece about a couple who travel to Argentina but both men find themselves drifting apart in opposite directions.
This was my first WKW film ever and the first film, at least to my memory, that was unabashedly and frankly queer. However, their queerness wasn't *the* focal point of this intense and passionate glimpse of a tumultuous relationship that anyone who's loved and lost can relate to and one that only Wong Kar-wai can bring to life. I haven't seen this film in quite a while and it'd be such a joy to watch it on the big screen. I know they scheduled this in the middle of the work week at the most inconvenient time and location, but this one is so worth it, trust!

I'll be at the lobby with the CLASSIC makeshift DCC sign to collect and then head into the screening then meet back at the lobby for a quick discussion. If anyone's interested, perhaps dinner before the screening?!
