DEEP DIVE: Andrea Arnold-Babies Having Babies

Andrea Arnold is one of my favorite directors after vaulting into prominence first with an Oscar win for Best Live Action Short (Wasp) and then winning Cannes’ second biggest prize for Fish Tank, recently recognized as one of the top 100 films of the 21st Century by the New York Times. For this deep dive the “assigned viewing” is one short and two features that I think have the strongest thematic bond, but we’ll also open it up to thoughts on the rest of her filmography.
