Join us for a bike ride to the movies! On Saturday morning, we'll cruise down to the Littleton Alamo for the 11:00 screening of Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. The Alamo is just off the Platte River Trail, which is all paved and mostly flat.

We'll have three meeting places, at three different times:

  • REI at Confluence Park, 8:45 AM. (14 miles to the Alamo.) There's a detour or two along the way, so I'm allowing plenty of time. We'll stop at The Table Public House to meet the other group.
  • The Table Public House, on the Platte River Trail just south of Evans, 9:30 AM. (8 miles to the Alamo.) There is parking nearby for those who want to drive, then bike. Arrive early, grab a snack, and wait for the group to gather!
  • The Alamo lobby, for those going directly there, 10:30 AM. Look for me; I'll have a small, rumpled DCC sign.

There is a small bike rack at the Alamo, plus 3 others in the shopping complex, at Talbot's, Salad Chick, and Panera Bread.

Movie tickets are $12.99, plus a $2.19 convenience fee if you order online. I recommend doing that to reserve a good seat. I'll be in row 5, seat 12.

It's a long movie; we'll get out at about 2:00 PM. Afterward, we'll gather again in the lobby, then ride to Breckenridge Brewery for snacks and drinks. It's just a short ride north. The brewery has a couple of bike racks, too, plus fences and posts if it comes to that.

See you on the trail!
