Koyaanisqatsi is a revered 1982 experimental doc, known for its hypnotic imagery and Philip Glass score. The Philip Glass Ensemble is coming to Denver to perform the score live at Boettcher Hall. The movie itself is very highly rated (91 Rotten Tomatoes, 4.3 Letterboxd) so this should be a magical evening!

Tickets range quite a bit in price, depending on where in the theater you are sitting. The Boettcher Hall has a four-screen setup that has good views from all sides, but I chose Mezzanine 4 as a good balance of price ($90) and view of both screen and musicians (we are in Row F, Seats 6 & 7).

The movie is only 90 minutes so we should be able to meet up for a bit of after-discussion nearby. Watch this space, as I've yet to figure that part out (I'm open to suggestions!) SEE COMMENTS FOR PRE-MEETUP LOCATION AND REPLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO JOIN US

Note: the Colorado Symphony is not a part of this performance, and neither is Philip Glass himself.
