Viridiana at the Sie
Details
The Sie's Janus in January series has a few awesome revivals programmed, and I'm particularly excited about this one. I've never seen any Luis Buñuel, so why not start with one of his most audacious? 1962's Viridiana scandalized the catholic church, earned a ban in Franco's Spain, and won the Palme d’Or. It's one of Buñuel's most highly-rated films and, for you concise-film fans, it's just 90 minutes long! Join us!
After you buy your ticket, you'll find me in the lobby wearing a DCC shirt. We'll do the meets-and-greets, then go in and catch the film. We'll meet again in the lobby afterwards to regroup and walk to Bruz for discussion. These revival screenings tend to be very well-attended, so arriving early and/or saving a seat before you meet us in the lobby is a good idea.
