Summer of Jeanne Moreau - The Trial (1962)

Let's get back to our summer of Jeanne Moreau (while we've got some summer left!) At our last gathering, we agreed that we'd like to see Jeanne Moreau in something different, maybe something... not French! Well, here's something a little different.

The Trial is Orson Welles' take on the Franz Kafka novel that gave the world the adjective "Kafkaesque". A fever dream of mindless bureaucracy and depersonalization, Welles' adaptation stars Anthony Perkins as middle manager Josef K, accused of unspecified charges and slowly worn down by the machinations of an impersonal justice system.

Watch the film at home and then meet us to discuss. Edgewater Public Market has many food and drink options. We'll be on the patio outside, weather dependent.
Grab a bite and a drink and look for the DCC signage on our table. We're usually on the eastern end of the patio, in the shade of the building.
