Comparative Religion: What Do the Main Religions of the World Have in Common?
Details
November's will be conducted by Bro. Katie Cumsille as he asks the question, "Comparative Religion: What Do the Main Religions of the World Have in Common?"
Synopsis:
All the world’s great religions—whether expressed through the Vedas, the Gospels, the Quran, the Torah, or the teachings of the Buddha—share a common aspiration: to unite humanity with the Divine and to elevate the moral and spiritual nature of man. Each faith, though clothed in different symbols and languages, seeks Truth and the mastery of self. Freemasonry embraces this universal thread by honoring the Light found within all traditions, affirming that no single creed holds a monopoly on Truth. Join us this month as we explore the commonalities between the major religions of the world and how Freemasonry shares in their similarity.
Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
