Thunder.Build & Legends of Lightning Bitcoin Hackathon

Hello everyone! We hope your summer has been enjoyable and now that we're getting towards fall it's time we let y'all know what's going on with the Thunder Build hackathon.
Right now we have over 130 confirmed attendees, 15 speaker and workshop presentations and an awesome lineup of resources and technical info for all our budding Lightning Engineers. Unfortunately however, we've had a major setback due to our largest sponsor UN-committing their support in the eleventh hour. The lost funding was partially allocated to paying off the remainder of our venue fee and due to this we will no longer be holding an in-person event and have decided to do everything virtually.
The good news is that Fulgar Ventures and Legends of Lightning has offered their support and resources to ensure most of our hard work will not be going to waste. The new plan is to onboard our hackers into the bolt.fun ecosystem where they will have access to livestreams, recorded presentations and mentors to help them as they compete for a prize pool of 2.5 BTC during the Legends of Lightning vol. 2 hackathon. This hackathon beings October 5th and runs until December 17th giving plenty of time for teams new to the Lightning ecosystem to get up to speed and build something awesome!
What this means for attendees and hackathon competitors is that you will now want to register at https://bolt.fun/tournaments/legends-of-lightning-vol2/overview and beginning on October 5th, you and your team will have access to livestreams, technical workshops, and recorded resources to aid you in competing for the large prizes being offered. This will take place virtually and run until the prizes are given out on Dec 17th, so there is plenty of time to build some amazing lightning-focused projects!
While it saddens us to see this awesome event we worked on for over 6 months fall through at the last minute, we are very happy that the hackers will be well taken care of. If you have any concerns of questions please feel free to reach out to us as well.
