Join us Saturday for an epic Movie Night. We’re wrapping up Thanksgiving weekend with The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s take on Homer’s legendary voyage home, packed with gods, monsters, and sirens. It just came out on 4K, so if you missed it in theaters, this is a great chance to catch it on the big screen, and it’s just as worth it for a rewatch. This one is a laid-back social night, so come hang out!

Vibe: Doors open at 5, and the movie starts at 6:30, so there’s time to make/eat dinner, grab a drink, and meet some new people first. We’ll wrap up the night when the movie ends, around 10.

Movie: We’re screening The Odyssey on the big screen with a 4K laser projector and 5.1 surround sound, which is perfect for a movie shot entirely on IMAX cameras. It runs just under three hours, so we’ll start right on time and take an intermission halfway through to stretch, refill drinks, and grab snacks. Bean bags, pillows, or blankets are welcome if you want to get extra cozy, but not required.

Clothing: Pajamas and comfy clothes are perfect for movie night. As always, there’s no dress code. From cat ears to alt fashion to a life jacket for the long voyage home, express yourself and wear as much or as little as you like.

Food & Drinks: We’ll have popcorn and snacks out for the movie. Feel free to bring your dinner and eat here, and Thanksgiving leftovers are highly encouraged! You’re welcome to use the full kitchen to reheat or cook something, or throw something on the grill. If you have an appetizer or snack to share, that would be awesome! This is a BYOB event, and there’s fridge space for your drinks.

Smoking: Cannabis and vaping are welcome in the backyard, but no tobacco smokers please. That includes showing up smelling like tobacco smoke.

Cats: Two friendly Bengal cats live here and may come say hi. Heads up if you have allergies, and please keep the doors closed behind you so they don’t sneak out.

Cost: Free!

Address & Parking: Message the organizer for the address. Free parking.

Other: Our group is mostly folks in their 20s and 30s, and anyone 21 to 45 is welcome to join. This event is posted in a few places, so the RSVP list here won’t show everyone who’s coming.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
