Open Water Swim

Let’s break out the swim gear and hit an open water swim at Chatfield Gravel Pond. Course plans can be flexible - swimming laps to and from the island or going the full length of the pond, depending on what folks are up for. All paces welcome as we can regroup along the way if desired.

Meet in the NE corner of the lake (by the outhouse). If you are going to be late or have questions, please message me before 4:30 as I do not carry my phone while swimming.

A swim tow float is recommended. There are no lifeguards or kayak support and this is swim at your own risk. Please know your limits.

As of August 31, water temp was 73 degrees, please plan accordingly for wetsuit or normal swim gear based on your comfort and abilities.

Please note, this is in Chatfield state park and a pass is required for entry.
