FINAL UPDATE re: DATES & GROUP CAMPING: I have reserved Group Site A at Ken's Lake; I stayed there spring of 2024. Good site!
First night is Wednesday 4/22/26; last night is Sunday 4/26/26. The site will accomodate tents, truck campers, pop-ups, and trailers. Priority to larger camping units (e.g. trailers/campers) will go to those who commit and pay first. Tent campers can be readily accomodated. Total site cost is $633 (5 nights at $125/night; $8 administraton fee). Cost/payment will be based on per person/total nights basis. FYI, there are multiple individual camping sites at Ken's Lake.

Re: Rides: Ride dates will be Thursday, 4/23 thru Monday 4/27 (5 total days), but members are free to take a day off, a hike day, or whatever. I am eager for some members to step up and volunteer to lead rides. I know Moab reasonably well, and trails are well-signed there. I want to wait to have potential ride volunteers contact me, and then (prior to the trip) will post rides. We will do all the standard/fave areas, including for example: Dead Horse Point; Navajo Rocks; Horsethief; Klonzo; Sand Flats. If we get a large attendance, we can break up into smaller groups based on pace, distance, etc. Also note: most all Moab area trails, with few exceptions, now allow Class 1 e-bikes. Yeh!

UPDATE 10/17/25: I have updated Moab dates from Thursday 4/23/26: 5 PM to Tuesday 4/28/26 at 1 pm. Idea is to then ride Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday AM if intersted. BUT - these noted updated dates remain tentative - even though they are in the general range. Keep in mind: 1) I am trying to secure a group site - that may dictate exact dates (for those camping, as I am); and 2) the Fruita Fat Tire Fest commences Friday, 5/1 and goes thru Sunday 5/3. Given that my thought is to do Moab first and then Fruita, best to get to Moab and then allow time in Fruita prior to the Fruita FTF getting into full swing. For those interested in group camping: please text me; I need to determine interst! Thanks, Mark; Mark Smith, Lakewood

Hey Gang: Giro D'Moab 2026. I need to contact Mark Spoor for exact dates, but I wanted to make a tenantive post at present. I'm glad to lead the Moab portion of the Moab-Fruita trip; great to have a co-leader if other persons are interested. Please see Discussions text: I am seeking to secure a quality group campsite (preferably a site with more capacity and great location). . .All group sites go fast - my recollection is that they are avaiable 6 months in advance. I am seeking to secure campers who can commit to a group site. Please call or text me at 729.219.9832. Thanks, Mark Smith, Lakewood
