This is an exploratory ride around Cheyenne Mountain west of Colorado Springs. There are miles of trails in the area that I’m sure few of us have ridden. The planned route starts at Stratton Open Space, Ridgeway Parking Lot, to Ladders Trail, to Gold Camp Road, to Buckhorn Trail, to Captain Jacks Trail, to Spring Creek Trail, to Gold Camp Road, and back through the Stratton Open Space to the parking lot. The distance should be approximately 13 miles and should take around 3-4 hours.

Be comfortable with exploring.

Because or the distance and the small size of the parking lot, It would probably be best for those who don’t live South of Metro Denver, to carpool from South Denver, maybe at the County Line Park N Ride. I’m open to other suggestions.

Meet at the Park N Ride at 8 am or the Stratton Open Space parking lot at 9:30, ready to ride by 9:45.
