SUP in Lakewood

Let’s meet at Bear Creek Lake park to paddle board and hang out at Soda Lake. Kayakers and anyone can join. We’ve discovered that evening paddling is pretty cool. I wont get tgere until 5:15 and will start inflating. I shoukd be on the water by 5:45ish.

It’s $15 per vehicle to get in. They have paddle boards for rent there. I dont know much about renting because i own my board. I think rentals stop ar 6 pm and tge board has to be returned by 7 pm. Life vests are required in the state of Colorado. You don’t have to be wearing it, but you have to have it on your board. The rental place will include a life vest.
I’m hoping to launch from the left of the rental place coming from the overflow parking that is left of the lake, when facing the water. Lets meet near tge boat dock, which is also near the rentals.
The 2 closest parking lots can fill up early. Last time, people were forced to park in overflow parking. There is a path close to the overflow parking lot that is to the left of the lake, so you wont have to carry your board far. People can launch from there and paddle to meet the group. There is also overflow parking to the right of the lake.
