Mount Flora 13,132' and Colorado Mines Peak 12,493' !

7 miles RT with 2,100' elevation gain.

A scenic twofer high above Berthoud Pass. From the Berthoud Pass parking area, take the gated forest service road to Colorado Mines Peak first. We'll descend from the Mines summit to the Mt Flora trail and continue on to Mt Flora. On the descent, we'll stay on the Mt Flora trail back to the parking area with no need to go back over Mines Peak. There's a lot to look at and enjoy on this trip.

Please bring your pack, high altitude layers, fluids, snacks, and good footwear. I'm not expecting to have to cross any lingering deep snow fields. Don't forget your sun protection.

Carpools meet at Wooly Mammoth Section GG at 6:30. Please comment if you can drive or would like to ride. Be good to your driver. There are toilets at Berthoud Pass.

After, we can stop at Genesee Pub and BBQ.
