Let's get the blood pumping ridge hiking on sandstone deposited in the Cretaceous Period. You bet Jurassic it's going to be a good time! 😊
The weather forecast calls for breezy conditions to the south of Matthews Winters Park, so we will play it by ear.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL: Do not sign up if you:

MEET: Please arrive early to prepare for hiking and for introductions, as we will start hiking ASAP. The hike begins ASAP at no later than 8:05 am. If you are late, you can catch up with the group.
NOTE: Due to a recent series of car break-ins at the Stegosaurus Parking Lot, we will meet in the Matthews Winters Parking Lot.
DISTANCE/GAIN: 5.1 mi RT. Elevation gain: 1183 ft. (Level: Difficult/Strenuous). MAP
NOTE: The trail ascends ~285 ft. in the first 0.5 miles.
WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate gear (jacket, water, snacks, headlamp, etc).
DOGS: Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Dogs must be leashed. Waste must be picked up and deposited into receptacles.
