Saturday Feb 21, 2026. 8AM Hiking by 8:05AM
Where:
Meet at the Rooney Road Trailhead parking lot. This trailhead gets busy so 8AM start. Meet near the sign board/ bathrooms.

What we are going to do:
Zorro Trail/ Dakota Ridge. We will also probably walk down the road to see the dino tracks (https://dinoridge.org/visit-dinosaur-ridge/dinosaur-ridge-trail/).

About 7+ miles, 1500+ feet (ish).
Note, the weather is supposed to change this week, so colder weather gear and maybe spikes are recommended. Since Dakota can be rocky and up and down, if it is too snowy/ icy I may switch to just a Green Mountain hike (same trailhead). Most likely a hike day determination.
Depending on group preferences, maybe gather somewhere for lunch after.
