7.4 miles RT with 1,800' elevation gain.

A lofty, expansive hike using a portion of the Continental Divide trail in the Vasquez Peak Wilderness. There's a lot to see on this trip and you'll have a nice view of some old friends to the East - Flora, Eva, Parry, and James. There is a good trail all the way to the summit. This hike is an out and back that begins and ends at the Berthoud Pass parking lot which has restroom facilities in the warming hut. And remember, the first challenge is to avoid getting hit while crossing the highway...

Please bring your pack, fluids, snacks, layers, and good footwear. It can be breezy at times, so pack accordingly. The UV Index can be very high this time of year.

Carpools meet at 7:00 at the Wooly Mammoth lot Section GG. Please comment below if you can drive or would like to ride.

After, we can make a pit stop at the Yards Taphouse in Idaho Springs.
