Several of us hiked Arapahoe Lakes earlier this year...it is a great hike, in that it originates from the popular East Portal of the Moffat Tunnel like many other hikes, but has less traffic than its neighboring trails. The hike features two beautiful lakes at the top.

Total of 7.5 miles and 1,900 feet elevation gain.

We are entering that time of year when we need to be prepared for all modes of weather in the higher elevations. There may or may not be a little snow on the high peaks this week. So, please pack spikes just in case. Please be prepared for chilly temps to start and be prepared to remove layers perhaps as the morning progresses. Like all hikes, please be prepared with hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and snacks.

We will meet in the parking lot at the East Portal of Moffat Tunnel. I will be driving a 2016 dark blue Nissan Rogue.
