New Trail: Huntsman Gulch

Ready for something new? The Huntsman Trailhead is opening this weekend near Golden. It’s the newest section of the Peaks to Plains Trail, now renamed as the Clear Creek Canyon Trail.
Meet at the CCR Trailhead/parking lot in Clear Creek Canyon at 8am. (3 miles from the intersection of highways 6/58/93, which is also the Gateway TH)
We will hike/walk the new section of trail to Huntsman Trailhead & back for a 3 mile walk. You can quit then or hike the last new section south for 1.5 miles or so to make a 6 mile walk.
Expect a moderate pace. If you’re slow, join us on our way back.
I am not a guide, just someone inviting you to join me on a walk. Please bring water, a snack, & the ten essentials. Cell service may be limited in the canyon.
Leashed dogs with well behaved owners welcome.
