In the case of climate change, technologies like solar panels and electric vehicles are seen as our most powerful tools, yet in the case of animal welfare technology is seldom part of the conversation. In this talk, Robert will discuss how new agricultural technologies can be practical and scalable solutions to some of the most pressing animal welfare problems, and present a case study of Innovate Animal Ag's work on in-ovo sexing.

Robert Yaman has spent his career in Silicon Valley focusing on how to help animals through technology. He started out earning to give as a software engineer at Google, then spent 5 years advancing cultivated meat at Mission Barns*.* In early 2023, he founded Innovate Animal Ag, a think tank that researches and advances cutting edge technologies in agriculture that could improve animal welfare.
