We're kicking off warm season with a hike at Reynolds Park near Conifer — a hikers-only loop through ponderosa pine forest. No mountain bikes, no crowds, just trees, trails, and good people. Bring your favorite vegan trail snacks!
The Trail Eagle's View Loop — 4.2 miles, ~1,000 ft elevation gain, moderate. We'll take Elkhorn → Ravens Roost up (steep but worth it), hit the Eagle's View overlook, and come down the Oxen Draw Trail which follows a creek through a narrow canyon. True loop, well-marked. Dogs welcome on leash. Free, restrooms at trailhead. No cell service — download the trail on AllTrails before you go.
Weather Forecast is 69°F high with a 35% chance of afternoon rain — classic Colorado spring. We'll be done well before any storms roll in. Morning start temps will be in the low-to-mid 50s at elevation. Bring a light layer for the ridge, sunscreen, and plenty of water (no water sources at the trailhead).
