**Where:** Home Depot to carpool to the trailhead since the state park needs a state pass 📍🗺️

The hike encompassing Mason Creek, Bear Paw, Old Mill, and Staunton Ranch Trails offers a scenic experience, providing ample shade throughout the journey. The terrain consists of a wide and well-defined dirt trail. Hiking boots and microspikes are recommended for the icy sections during winter. Starting on Mason Creek Trail, hikers will encounter several steep inclines and creek crossings. A notable feature is the large rocky outcrop towering over the trail. The trail presents excellent views of the meadow and the southern hills outside the park. The trail remains well-defined as you reach the Bear Paw intersection. Bear Paw Trail offers three remarkable overlooks, two easily accessible. The first is Eagle Cliffs Overlook, accessible via a spur trail that requires climbing up rocks for a comprehensive view of the area. Next, Pike’s Peak Overlook is conveniently located right off the trail. The final overlook, Catamount Overlook, features a rock shaped like a bench, perfect for resting and enjoying the view. Continuing onto Old Mill Trail, hikers will encounter steep sections with a lot of loose rock. A stream runs alongside the trail, adding to the scenic beauty. Along this trail, hikers can see the collapsed remnants of the old mill site, a standing bunkhouse, and some rusted milling equipment in the woods. The hike concludes on Staunton Ranch Trail ☔🌧️

- Optional: Trekking poles and a camera for the views 📸🔭
- Leashed dogs are welcome! 🐶💦
