## Details

Join us for a beautiful morning hike at Bluffs Regional Park in Lone Tree! This is a great opportunity to get some exercise, enjoy stunning panoramic views, and connect with fellow hikers.

Event Details:

  • When: Saturday, 8:10 AM
  • Where: Bluffs Regional Park Trailhead
  • Address: 10099 Crooked Stick Trail, Lone Tree, CO 80124

Stree parking available if parking lot is full just before the parking lot.

The Hike:

  • Trail: We will be hiking the main Bluffs Regional Park loop trail. It's an easy to moderate loop of about 3.7 +/- miles (going to Stone Henge of Colorado will add a couple of miles) with a few hilly sections.
  • Highlights: Expect fantastic 360-degree views of the Denver metro area, the Front Range mountains (including Pikes Peak and Longs Peak on a clear day), and the surrounding grasslands.
  • Duration: The hike should take us approximately 1.5 - 2.5 hours, depending on our pace and how long we stop to enjoy the views. (If we want to go to Stone Henge of Colorado or not)

Important Notes:

  • Weather: The forecast for Saturday is for a high of 80Β°F and partly cloudy skies, so be prepared for sun exposure. There is a small chance of rain, so a light jacket or rain shell is a good idea.
  • What to Bring:
  • Plenty of water (there is no water available at the trailhead).
  • Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.
  • Comfortable hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers.
  • Snacks if you'd like.
  • Parking: The parking lot can fill up quickly on weekend mornings, so arriving a few minutes early is a good idea.
  • Trail Conditions: A portion of the Bluffs Regional Park Trail has been undergoing reconstruction. While the full loop may not be accessible, there is a designated "out-and-back" route that still provides beautiful views. We will hike as much of the open trail as possible.
  • Dogs: Leashed dogs are welcome!
  • Contact: If you have any questions or are running late, please comment on the event page.

We look forward to seeing you there for a great morning on the trail
