Hike Bluffs Regional trail with Zhen
Details
Join Zhen and the group for a relaxed Saturday morning group hike at beautiful Bluffs Regional Park in Lone Tree! Meet at 9:00 AM in the main parking lot near the restrooms/picnic shelter (10099 Crooked Stick Trail, Lone Tree, CO 80124).
We'll tackle the scenic 2.7-mile loop trail (easy-moderate, ~1–1.5 hours at a casual pace, ~350 ft elevation gain) on soft-surface gravel/dirt. It's multi-use, well-maintained, and perfect for all levels—great views of the Colorado Front Range mountains, Denver skyline, grasslands, and wildlife. Dog-friendly alert! Leashed dogs are welcome (clean up after them, bring water/poop bags).
For those who want a bit more adventure, we can optionally extend to the nearby Lonehenge Trail (aka the "Stonehenge of Colorado")—a short connector adds about 1 mile round-trip to a cool ridgeline viewpoint with a unique stone compass structure that identifies the mountains. Super fun photo spot!
Bring water, comfortable shoes, layers (March-December can be breezy/spring-like, 60–70s°F forecast), snacks/picnic if you want to chill at the shelter afterward. Parking is free but fills up on weekends—arrive early, and you can park on the streets if the parking lot is full! All levels welcome—hikers, walkers, families, or just folks wanting fresh air and good company. RSVP so we know rough numbers.
Pets are welcome!!!!
