🥾 Trail Time | Summer Summit 🌄 is a bi-weekly social hike series focused on staying active, building community, and progressively building endurance through HARD hikes (approximately 2,000–3,000 ft of elevation gain).

Vasquez Peak via the Continental Divide & Mount Nystrom Trail • starts at 10,440 ft • 6.9 mi • 2,992 ft gain • Class 2 summit • ~5 hrs

This challenging high-alpine hike follows the Continental Divide to Vasquez Peak (12,947 ft), featuring alpine wildflowers, open tundra, sweeping mountain views, and a Class 2 summit. 🌼⛰️ As our final training hike before our 14er finale, we were aiming for ~2,600 ft of gain—but we'll be so close to the summit, we might as well tackle the extra ~300 ft! 💪 That means nearly 3,000 ft of gain in under 7 miles to a peak just 53 ft shy of a 13er! Conquer this one, and next stop: our 14er finale! 🏔️🙌
