Adventure to Bishop's Castle and the Sangre de Cristos

We’re excited to go see this magnificent castle nestled in our southern mountains. They may be completing the work to fully enclose this structure soon, this may be our last chance to tour the building without paying for a guide. We’ll carpool from Lone Tree and drive to the castle where we can explore this nearly completed structure for free. Climbing all the way to the top will give us a great view as well as put us over 100 feet above the ground, so please don’t RSVP if you have a fear of heights.
Afterwards, we will drive down the valley to view the majestical Sangre De Cristo mountains and grab some lunch. From there, each car can continue their own adventure which could include a short hike in the area, a drive to Skyview Drive in Canon City or a quick stop to either Manitou Springs or Garden of the Gods on their way back home.
When you RSVP, please tell us if you can volunteer to drive and let us know if you want to carpool from Colorado Springs. Please bring $5-$10 cash to contribute to gas costs for our volunteer drivers.
