Downtown Westminster Dog Area & Kokopelli Social Bar - Sunday 12 pm - 2 pm

Join the Denver Small Dog Social this Sunday from 12 pm to 2 pm. We'll go to the new Downtown Westminster Dog Area with the Kokopelli Social Bar right next to the park. The social bar is typically closed on Sundays but will be open especially for us! The social bar offers beer and mixed drinks, plus snacks. There are tables by the social bar just outside the dog park if you don't want to eat inside the dog park. You can get more food at the nearby Kokopelli restaurant, if desired. They allow dogs on the outside patio at the restaurant.

The address of the dog park is 9200 N. Harlan St. but it's actually a couple blocks east of Harlan. From 88th Avenue, go north on Harlan to 90th Avenue, then turn right and go a couple blocks to Fenton St. You'll see the Lucky Strike bowling alley behind the dog park. You can park on Fenton St. or 90th Avenue near the dog park.

The dog park has 2 sides with no signage. We'll be in the smaller, left side with the orange shade roof. We'll put up a sign about the meetup to discourage large dogs from entering. Both sides have a picnic table, adirondack chairs, shade roof and a drinking fountain (maybe shut off for the winter).

Note: If you bring dog treats, please ask the pet parent before feeding to a dog that is not your own. Some dogs may be on special diets due to medical problems.

Come browse the swap box for small dog toys, leashes, harnesses, clothing, accessories, etc. to find treasures you can use or donate items you no longer need.

No fee, however, donations of $1 to $5 are greatly appreciated to help pay the Meetup.com cost of $179 twice a year. There will be a donation box at the event.
