Event Update For Denver Wine Lover Members:

Our next event is in 3 Days! "Sinfully Delicious" Wine Event with Winemaker Jeff Farthing of Michael and David Winery this is our only event for February...the next event is in March. Meetup RSVP's must be confirmed on eventbrite at http://uncorkedmichae...­ The event is with Denver Wine Meetup and 5 other groups.

Over 75% of the tickets have been sold! Baur's has a very spacious room for our group and the place is beautiful. For those of you waiting to see the weather before's going to be SUNNY on Thursday. Please note, no tickets will be sold at the door as we will be at capacity.
Meetup RSVP's that have not been confirmed by payment on eventbrite will be moved to "NO" on Tuesday night.

Winemaker Change for Thursday: Michael and David Winery is sending their winemaker Jeff Farthing who has a very interesting background in the science of viticulture including scientific papers on high sugar fermentation and work on some other prominent winemaking teams prior to Michael and David Winery. Derek Devries will not be able to make it out for this trip and Jeff is in the area for a function in the mountians. Please read about Jeff Farthing­ .....for the wine geeks and scientific types in the group, you'll find a winemaker who can answer very interesting questions about winemaking.

We have posted the wine and food pairing menu on the meetup and below. We are not only pouring "Sinfully Delicious" wines but Baur's is providing a CULINARY DELIGHT!

First Course

  • Calamari Frita ~ Crisp fried calamari rings tossed with kalamata olives and pepperoncinis, served over a spicy tomato coulis
  • Flaming Saganaki ~ Kasseri cheese, flamed tableside with Ouzo, served with warm pita points

  • Baby Iceberg Wedge ~ Crisp iceberg lettuce, praline bacon, roasted tomatoes, crisp shallots, topped with a buttermilk bleu cheese dressing
