What we’re about

We are a NAMI Eastside Connections Peer Support Group made of individuals living with a mental health condition who meet virtually on Zoom weekly to listen, share and support each other.

Professionals active in the behavioral health field are only permitted in our meetings with a mental health diagnosis. We are not medical professionals but we are expects in our own experiences. We ask that members only offer advice when specifically requested by a member during group discussion.

Who is welcome at our group?
Anyone who is living with a mental health condition or has been experiencing a mental health symptom for longer than 2 weeks.

What should members do at a meeting?

  1. Start and stop on time.
  2. Time limit for check-in.
  3. Absolute confidentiality.
  4. Be mindful of others; no monopolizing or cross talk.
  5. Keep it in the here and now.
  6. Empathize with each other’s situation.
