A New Life For Derbyshire Eco Centre - Meet & Greet Stall
Details
Derbyshire County Council closed the doors on the Derbyshire Eco Centre in July 2025. The Eco Centre showcases sustainable building design minimising energy costs on a site abundant with wildlife.
Now new life is being breathed into this inspirational building and grounds. The local community formed a social enterprise to bid for the lease, working in partnership with the institute of Quarrying who runs the National Stone Centre in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.
We know the Eco Centre's potential for changing lives; with new skills, new friends, new possibilities and how supportive it is to the collective community of Derbyshire and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of the Eco Centre community, to breathe new life into the Centre and its grounds, to create a thriving community hub for everyone to enjoy near and afar.
Come and look for us in the Wirksworth Xmas Market, come have a chat about how you can be involved in the future of this unique opportunity or find out more and share on social media @derbyshireecocentrecic or A New Life for Derbyshire Eco Centre - a Community crowdfunding project in Matlock by Grassroots Wirksworth
