3D Printing Meetup Topic: Intellectual Property & 3D Printing

The legality of 3D printing is murky at best. If you download that crystal dragon, are you allowed to sell it? Are you allowed to remix it to make it your own? What happens if you do it wrong...will someone come knocking on your door to put you in handcuffs??! Fortunately we have an expert in our midst who can help us navigate the choppy legal waters in our totally-not-remixed-3DBenchy (it's fine now--it's public domain!). Brett Trout is an Iowa Patent lawyer who has graciously agreed to talk us through it. This should get interesting!

For our May Print of the Month the group voted to print and show off anything wearable. Hats, bracelets, or even a full suit of armor--it's all fair game. Bring it along to show off to the group.
