3D Printing Meetup Topic: Designing for 3D Printing (DFAM)

Details
Have you ever downloaded a model that just simply refused to 3D print properly? Frustrating, isn't it? If only the designer understood 3D printing, its constraints, how to take advantage of its unique strengths, and how to ensure that a model can have a good chance of being printed successfully. Let's discuss that very thing!
This discussion about Designing for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) will be relevant to users who want to understand what models will print properly and those who are designing models to be printed. Come on out and join the conversation!
Also, our Print of the Month for June will be anything that is designed to be "Printed In Place." Flexy dragons, folding cars, or anything the prints in one piece, but has built-in joints and hinges will count for this category. Bonus: Print-In-Place models are a great example of something that is designed exclusively for 3D printing!
