3D Printing Meetup - February Topic: 3D Printing for Mold Making

Per the consensus of the last meetup's attendees, our February 19th meetup topic will be...3D Printing for Mold Making! We'll explore the different ways that molds can be made using 3D printing, how to work with them, and what sorts of parts make sense to use 3D printed molds for. In some cases the positive can be 3D printed and them melted out, and in others the 3D printer might be used to make the mold itself. Depending upon whether you are casting a part in resin, metal, or some other material, the process may be completely different! What about PLA versus some of the molding-specific materials? Do you have experience (or even expertise) to share? Please bring any and all examples of experiments that succeeded or failed, molded parts, or even just stories of "a guy you saw do it one time." Let's figure out this niche use for 3D printing together!
