Harbinger is a vegetable focused small plates concept featuring flavors inspired by self directed trips our Chef has taken through south east Asia and beyond. Our mission is to tell tale of the place we call home highlighting provisions provided by the bountiful land and hard working hands of those who know how to nurture it. We work endlessly to support local. We know the impact of that support adds as much to your enjoyment of the meal as it does to strengthening our community.
## OUR CHEF
Joe Tripp, a Des Moines native and graduate of the University of Iowa. He first pursued his passions in the kitchen at the famed Colorado restaurant Fruition. It was there that he learned the importance of details and respect for the ingredients on the plate. Each year Chef Tripp travels, brining back fresh ideas to local products. Through the years he has earned seven James Beard nominations for Best Chef Midwest.
NOTE: Happy hour will not be available during restaurant week. Otherwise, if you wish to attend another date, Happy Hour is Monday-Saturday from 4-6. $7 Wine and $8 Highball
LOCATION: This location is easily accessible from 28th St. or from the west. There is some street parking, free parking behind the restaurant and across the street at the nearby doctor's office (dr office is closed by that time).
