Read The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco and then come discuss it with us at the Des Plaines Public Library.

The year is 1327. Benedictines in a wealthy Italian abbey are suspected of heresy, and Brother William of Baskerville arrives to investigate. When his delicate mission is suddenly overshadowed by seven bizarre deaths, Brother William turns detective. His tools are the logic of Aristotle, the theology of Aquinas, and the empirical insights of Roger Bacon.

Copies of these books are available at the Readers Services desk on the 3rd floor of the library. Registration required. The book club will meet in the the Commons on the third floor of the Des Plaines Public Library @ 7:30pm on November 20th.
