What: My overly complicated home networking and monitoring project.

Details: A quest for home networking nirvana—with zero new cables. I used MoCA to send Ethernet over ancient coax, gave my Google Wifi mesh a wired spine, built a full-blown NOC-style Grafana dashboard, and roped in AI to help code it. Also: what not to do if you want to avoid your ISP rolling a truck to your house.

About the speaker: Augie is an engineering leader with a strong background in DevOps and infrastructure, and a healthy obsession with solving complex problems. He’s led global teams at fast-paced startups and built high-scale, resilient systems. When he’s not in front of a terminal, he’s probably drinking good coffee or exploring remote trails with his dog.
