Men’s Group for Loving Life, Family, & Community

Welcome, thank you for your interest.

My name is Tomas. I am the eldest son of my family, a husband, and a future father.

From my experience, the culture forced upon us men have not always led to us treating ourselves or others lovingly. For me, it has caused chaos and harm in my life - and those I love.

In my quest to be a better man, I joined men’s groups in the USA, received therapy, read extensively, and reflected on what I really care about.

I was able to shed expectations that led me to be ashamed of myself in my early adult life. And as a result, I was able to build a life I truly love better and even built it with a life partner better.

With this meetup group, I’d to host a space where we can discuss openly about our lives so we may better build a loving life for ourselves, our loved ones, and our shared community.

This meetup group is open to all men and the conversations will be held in English.

In this first meeting, we will also discuss the format for this meetings.

제 이름은 토마스입니다. 저는 가족의 장남이자 남편이며, 곧 아버지가 될 사람입니다.

제 경험에 비추어 볼 때, 우리 남성들에게 강요되어 온 문화는 항상 우리 자신이나 다른 사람들을 사랑으로 대하도록 이끌어 주지는 않았습니다. 저에게는 그것이 제 삶과 제가 사랑하는 사람들의 삶에 혼란과 상처를 가져오기도 했습니다.

더 나은 사람이 되기 위한 여정 속에서 저는 미국에서 남성 모임에 참여했고, 치료(상담)를 받았으며, 많은 책을 읽고 제가 진정으로 중요하게 생각하는 것이 무엇인지 깊이 성찰했습니다.

그 과정을 통해 저는 젊은 성인 시절 스스로를 부끄럽게 여기게 만들었던 기대와 기준들을 내려놓을 수 있었습니다. 그 결과, 저는 제가 진정으로 사랑하는 삶을 더 잘 만들어 갈 수 있었고, 더 좋은 방식으로 인생의 동반자와 함께 그 삶을 쌓아 갈 수 있게 되었습니다.

이 밋업 모임에서는 우리 각자의 삶에 대해 열린 마음으로 이야기할 수 있는 공간을 만들고 싶습니다. 그렇게 함으로써 우리 자신과 우리가 사랑하는 사람들, 그리고 우리가 함께 속한 공동체를 위해 더 사랑이 있는 삶을 만들어 갈 수 있기를 바랍니다.

이 모임은 모든 남성에게 열려 있으며, 대화는 영어로 진행됩니다.

첫 번째 모임에서는 앞으로의 모임 형식에 대해서도 함께 이야기할 예정입니다.
