What we’re about

WELCOME VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS!

We put this group together to find like-minded volleyball junkies that want to have fun in a non-competitive atmosphere.  We are all here to exercise, socialize, re-energize, and just have a great time!  We only play 2s volleyball, but if enough people are interested in 3s/4s then we can always add that to the calendar as well.  We usually meet at Freedom Park in Palm Desert (off of Country Club) and Civic Park in Palm Desert (near C.O.D)

Since our group is growing, we put together some guidelines to help lead the way:

SPORTSMANSHIP:  Good sportsmanship and friendly attitudes are a must.  We are all here to have a good time exercising and enjoying our great weather!  If you choose to be verbally abusive or rude, you will be immediately removed from the group and you will not be given a refund.

Membership Dues:  In order to purchase group equipment and pay meetup.com fees, we ask for a $10 yearly donation from each member. We may also have clinics, tournaments, and parties throughout the year.  Your first month is free so you can see if this group is for you.

PAY IT FORWARD: We were all beginners at one time.  The only way we got better was by playing.  So please attend the “all level meetups” to help mentor other players.  Some meetups will be targeted to a specific skill level range. Only attend if you really do fit that skill level.

ATTENDANCE: In order to be courteous towards other volleyball players, you MUST RSVP for each meetup you plan on attending so we know exactly how many people to expect and how many courts we need.  Attendance will be taken at each meetup.  If you are going to be late, please message us and let us know.  If you don't show up at all, you will receive a "no-show" on your attendance history.  3 or more no-shows in a one year period will result in your membership in the group being removed without a refund.  If you have to change your RSVP try to give everyone at least a 2 hour notice if you can.  Always check your meetup calendar before heading out in case there is a last minute change (wind, weather, not enough players).
