Desert Travelers
Desert Survivors is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to experiencing, sharing and protecting desert wilderness. We organize many hiking, camping and backpacking trips, mostly in California, and a few in Oregon and Nevada too. We share travel stories and camaraderie at social events in the Bay Area.
Membership is $30/year. Membership is required to participate in club activities. Join us online at desert-survivors.com.
We recognize that the places that we love will not remain wild unless we give others the opportunity to experience their rugged beauty. Desert Survivors also monitors desert-related legislation and promotes policies to preserve these lands for future generations.
