Welcome to the very first meetup of Desert Movie Dames — a campy bad movie club for women & femme-aligned people who appreciate hilariously terrible cinema and want to make new friends in Phoenix.

For this meetup, we're celebrating the fitness-adjacent slashers from the 80s. Expect low budgets, plot holes, absurd storylines, and bad acting with neon leotards and leg warmers.

How it works:
Watch as many (or as few) as you want — zero pressure and no homework grade. We’ll meet in person to talk about the movies, share favorite moments, and laugh about the chaos.

I’ll bring talking points so nobody has to make up analysis on the spot.

Women & femme-aligned people (35–45ish) who are new or new-ish to Phoenix and enjoy terrible movies, nostalgic trash, and meeting new friends.
