About us
We're reviving Square Dancing in the greater Phoenix Valley, with an emphasis on our LGBTQ+ community. EVERYONE* is welcome and encouraged to come learn to square dance with us. (*kids 13-17 are welcome if accompanied by an adult)
Classes for NEW DANCERS are held periodically and last for 10 - 12 weeks. We post our new dancer events here, as well as on Facebook at Desert Valley Squares.
- No partner required
- Singles and couples of all orientations are welcome
- No special attire needed
- No experience needed at all. In fact, people with 'two left feet' have the exact number of feet required for square dancing. ;-b
Once you complete our new dancer introductory class (Mainstream), you'll be equipped to dance with ANY square dance club, ANYWHERE in the world. Of course we hope you'll keep coming back and keep dancing with us. Youâand anyone with mainstream or higher-level experienceâare always welcome at our weekly Sunday evening Club Nights. Dance with us... socialize with us... and have a great start to your week!
We'd love to meet you and show you why we love this activity so much. Whether you join us to dance, to watch, or just explore, youâll be welcomed in our LGBTQ+-centered safe space. Stop by, be yourself, meet our club members, and see how square dancing with like-minded LGBTQ+ individuals is something truly unique and special.
