What we’re about

This group is for the Desi girls of Berlin. If you miss having desi women around who just get you… if you’re looking for real friendships, honest conversations, and a those friendships where you can make instant plans with girls.

What do we do in the meetup:
We’re an active bunch from all over India, making plans together- helping with careers, Hanging out at bars or restaurants, spontaneous plans is the most active or just being there for each other.

Join us for a serene and joyful day trip exclusively for Desi women as we step away from city life and into the fairytale charm of Pfaueninsel—a UNESCO World Heritage island nestled in the Havel River. This is your chance to relax, explore, and connect with fellow women in a warm, welcoming space.

🌿 What to Expect:
🏰 Palace & Historic Sights
• A beautiful Palace with peackocks around it, built by Prussian royalty.
• Discover old structures like the Meierei, Kavaliershaus, and Gothic ruins scattered across the island.

🦚 Peacocks & Nature Trails
• There are free-roaming peacocks 🦚 and old oak trees!
• This island has a famous rose garden.

🍛 Desi Picnic
• Bring light snacks and drinks for a mini picnic.
• Don’t forget your mat and cutlery for yourself!

📸 Find your Desi girl gang
• We are a group of 100+ desi girls and join in to find your girl gang.

• Wear comfortable walking shoes
• Water bottle
• Sunhat or umbrella (in case it rains)
• Sitting Mat and cutlery

The plan- We meet at 18:30 at burger kind Tiergarten as it is super easy to locate. We will walk from there to Tiergarten. For those who join a bit later, we will share the location in comments.

Bring a Mat to sit on and some snacks and drinks with you 🥳

In this meetup, we make finding friends like school time again 👯‍♀️.

There is so much joy when we connect with our girls with whom we have so much in common. Similar career choices, boy troubles, dancing crazyy on bollywood beats, making chai pakore and ranting for hours- back home, this would happen so organically but here we are busy, sometimes our jobs are too much and sometimes we can’t just fall asleep or we don’t get a termin! (and also sometimes tired or socially burnt out!)

Let’s use this meetup group as a way to re-connect in those organic ways. Much like at home, connect over chai and samosa or have a full meal! Or have wine! (why not?)

How would this meetup work?
I come with a question card game and we answer them in small groups. This keeps the conversation lively and helps connect authentically!
