9:00 am KSU - Ride to Starved Rock and Back
Details
We'll ride a non highway route to Starved Rock (have lunch, usually at Skoogs) and work our way back home.
Please note that in the interest of time (on the way back), we may elect to jump on the highway or tollway. IPass/EZPass makes it easier to pay for tolls. Therefore, be prepared to ride solo home as we get near the burbs as we will not end where we started. Either way, you should feel comfortable at matching traffic speeds and overtaking when necessary.
Expect to ride about 180 miles total.
We'll depart from Shell in Aurora, IL (Corner of Sutton which is rte. 59 and near Ogden which is rte. 34) at 9:00 am so arrive no later than 8:50 am.
Easy to get dehydrated even in this weather so bring fluids.
If it's April or May, chances are that it's cold so wear layers.
