Deelip Menezes completed his graduation with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree, Mechanical Engineering from Goa Engineering College. He heads all of 3D Systems operations in India, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3D Systems, Inc. (USA), which includes R&D, 3D printer sales and service, channel growth and management, logistics, etc as the Managing Director. He joined 3D Systems after the company acquired two of his companies - Sycode and Print3D Corporation – in April 2011. Print3D is a platform which gives CAD (Computer Aided Design) users the ability to get live prices for 3D printed parts of their designs right within their CAD software by simply clicking a button. Deelip designed, developed and implemented all the pieces of desktop and web software of the Print3D platform. He also designed, developed and implemented all of Sycode 250+ software products which include standalone applications as well as plug-ins to all the major CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.

Floating Point Solutions, amongst the companies he co-founded, started out by offering CAD (Computer Aided Design) software development services to companies worldwide. Later the company changed direction and focused on developing and selling CAD software product of its own on a global scale. One of his projects includes Cubify, a consumer oriented social platform for 3D Printing.

He also serves as the Founder & CEO of Deelip.com which is a blog that covers the Computer Aided Design (CAD) software industry. It started as a hobby back in 2006 and took a life of its own. Amongst other things, he has also authored a publication ‘OpenCAD - A Step by Step Guide to Developing a Professional CAD Application (Link)’, a book written as a short story describing the evolution of a CAD application called OpenCAD.
