Through his work and processes, Meghan Salgaonkar is going to share the art of enamelwork, its procedures and materials.
The word “ENAMEL” refers to a glass material, as well as to the finished product. Vitreous Enamel is glass bonded by fusion to a metal surface. Enameling is an old & widely adopted technology, for most of its history mainly used in jewellery & decorative arts.

About l Meghan Salgaonkar
Meghan comes from a family of traditional Indian goldsmiths and jewellery designers & makers and belongs to the third generation with around 70 years of tradition in his background. He graduated from Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai with a B.F.A in Fine Arts.
He has contributed as a faculty and conducted several courses in Sir J. J. School of Art, Hungarian Enamel Center, The Estonian Academy of Art amongst others. His work has been also displayed at exhibitions such as The 41th International Enamel Symposium Exhibition, Germany, The 2nd International Exhibition of Contemporary Enamel Art, Kaluga, Russia, Steel Sculpture Group Exhibition, Erlin Galeria, Budapest, Hungary and more. He has also been a part of several symposiums and art fairs. He works out of his studio in Sawantwadi.
