The design for planet collective events aim to inspire and facilitate cross industry collaborations, innovation and connection in order to move the conversation around design for planet forwards at pace.

For this London Design Festival edition of our Collective, we have curated 3 panels which explore alternative approaches that disrupt the traditional design methods that can often be fragmented and competitive. These will be held as an in-person only event for this month, returning to our normal hybrid set-up at our next event.

Instead viewing the design community as a collective resource for shared knowledge, innovation and wisdom. Our 3 panels explore this through the varying lenses of the connective power of AI, community based design movements and intuitive earth bound practices.

Panel 1 - Sacred Design - 2pm

The panel will explore sacred design as a new way of designing alongside natural earth bound cycles, practices and traditions that inform a more connected, intuitive and symbiotic approach to design. Our panel will discuss Designing with Gaia, the power of inner wisdom, nature based ritual and traditional land-based techniques that take us back to our ancestral roots and traditions created in respect of the planet.

The panel will explore how collective learning and crowd sourcing knowledge through design communities helps disrupt the traditional competitive approach to design and innovation, creating more holistic cross industry collaborations and solutions. Our panel considers how to bring clients with you in pushing climate positive practice forward?

The panel will explore how AI can be a force for good, disrupting the current design paradigm to focus on more collaborative approach to designing for planet. Specifically around its power to crowdsource information, communities and collective knowledge and potential future applications for finding climate specific solutions.
