#6 - the design stroll: collab with The Startup Stroll

Walk, talk and help a founder solve a real problem with design - in collaboration with The Startup Stroll.

Exciting news! Our next event is another special edition - a collaboration with The Startup Stroll, a popular community for London based founders and builders.

We’re teaming up with them for a morning in Hyde Park where we’ll use design thinking to tackle a real startup challenge together.

How it works:
Ahead of the event, founders can submit a social impact problem they’re working on. From these, we'll select one challenge to focus on.

On the day, the founder will introduce their startup and problem. We’ll then split into small groups, and each will explore the challenge with design thinking as we stroll through the park.

At the end, we’ll regroup to share ideas and help the founder leave with a concrete next step.

The Details:

• Date: Saturday 28th November, 10am - 12pm
• Meeting point: WatchHouse Hanover (near Bond Street/Oxford Circus)
• Route: After meeting at the cafe, we'll stroll to Hyde Park
• What to bring: Comfortable shoes and an open mind.
• Vibe: Friendly, curious and collaborative!

Who is this for?
Our events are for UX designers, researchers and other strategic and creative thinkers who are passionate about using their skills for social good, not just profit.

For this event, we’re also welcoming founders and builders from the Startup Stroll community.

Who are the hosts?

The Startup Stroll is a bi-monthly Saturday morning walk for founders and builders in London, run by Marion Boimond & Stefanie Mulder. They create space for the kind of honest conversations about building something that don’t happen at regular networking events.

Max is a London based design researcher. Until recently he was based in Tokyo, where he ran a small design agency and spent over 10 years as a meetup organizer. He’s exploring ways to bring designers together to use our skills to work on meaningful problems.
